SIA Lielanteni was founded in 1996 with the aim of providing high-quality wood processing and sawing services. The company was established based on the principles of sustainable forestry, ensuring that wood resources are used efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner.
Āris Brants is a Latvian entrepreneur who runs the company SIA “Lielanteni”, which specializes in wood processing in Suntaži, Ogre region.
Āris Brants was born and raised in Riga, but his family roots are in Suntaži, where his grandfather owned a large farm before the occupation of Latvia. After regaining independence, Āris was actively involved in the recovery of family property, including forests and buildings that had been nationalized during the Soviet era.
In 1996, he founded the company “Lielanteni”, starting with the production of container boards. The company developed by diversifying its products and modernizing the production process. Ā.Brants is known as an entrepreneur with a practical approach and believes that in order for a company to be competitive, continuous development and adaptation to market requirements are necessary.
The company specializes in the implementation of individual projects for private homes, public buildings, and various standard and non-standard solutions.
The company also actively supports the restoration of ancient buildings by producing and adapting timber specifically for restoration purposes. This direction stems from Āra own personal passion for preserving cultural and historical heritage.
“Lielanteni” is able to provide specific lumber that meets the requirements of historical building structures — for example, massive beams of various sizes, boards of non-standard cross-section. The specificity of the company is to offer the opportunity to prepare timber according to individual orders, based on historical samples, to provide individually tailored solutions for the restoration of historical buildings, where authenticity and quality are crucial.
Completed projects
It is important that “Lielanteni” pays great attention to the quality and origin of the wood — for restoration work, high-quality local wood grown in Latvian forests is selected, which is processed with care and knowledge of traditional construction techniques. If necessary, the materials are impregnated, which extends the service life of the wood and preserves its authentic appearance.
By collaborating with architects and restorers, the company helps create sustainable solutions that allow old buildings to be reborn. Thus, “Lielanteni” not only provides high-quality building materials, but also promotes understanding of the preservation of cultural and historical values.

SIA Lielanteni, with the support of AS Attīstības finansāju institutīcija Altum, implemented a project to purchase equipment for a Tara board and lumber sawing line.
